He raised raised his eye brow and did a quick nod. “Yeah, I’m kind of hoping for it to go by. At least it’s my last year. After that all this stuff will be lifted off my shoulders..hopefully.” he did a small shrug and let one of his hands rest in the warm sand, curling it in…
He raised his eye brows at what she said, then smiled gently at her. He liked her attitude towards relationships. It wasn’t like all the other girls here. The whole My life is over, I won’t be able to live without him shit. That always annoyed him. Then again, he’d never fully understand girls. Ever. “Good. It’s a waste of time to let him do that. Plus, takes less of the stress off of your shoulder if you just let it all go.” He smiled gently at her. He always tried to make her feel better, wether it worked or not it was always worth a try.
He smirked at her when she suggested racing to the water. “It’s like you read my mind.” He did a small fake gasp when she tore off her cover and raced towards the shoreline. “Hey, I wasn’t ready!” He said between his small chuckles and pulled the undershirt over his head and tossing it towards her clothes on the towel.
He ran towards the shoreline, grabbing her at her waist before she could get fully into the water. “You’re racing a guy who’s played sports all his life. Bad idea there.” He winked at her playfully and picked her up, running into the water and letting it splash up his legs until he got to a waist water height. “Ready?!” He yelled to her over the waves, his laughs seeming to escape between his voice. He tossed her gently into the water, chucking afterwards. He let himself fall back into the water. The water soaking his whole body up. He lifted his head and rushed his large fingers through his hair when he did. He liked this, it was fun. Fun without the price of having a large hangover afterwards.
