Oh, hey there. I'm Max. Don't call me Maxwell though..doesn't really fit.
I guess you could call me
a pretty cool guy. Once you get to know me I am. Sports are my life. Any kind of sport, you name it I'll play it.
I could be your best friend,
if you want me to be. Or you could hate my guts and be out to get me for the rest of your life. I don't know man, your choice.
People seem to have a habit
of trying to turn me in a perfect guy. Here's the thing; I'm not. I'm trying. I really am. But whatever, fuck it. I'll just let it slide..again, and again, and again.

“Ditto.” He replied to her. They always had the same opinions when it came to this kind of stuff. He looked over at her and brought a small smile onto his face. “Yeahs sure, awesome. Let’s go.” He said as he pulled himself up from the cold salty water and walked up…

Max chuckled at her when she explained why the room was so messy. “Trust me, it’s no problem. Have you seen my room? Your room looks spotless compared to mine.” he smirked a little and stepped into the small dorm. He slipped off the sandals he had on at the door, then licked his lips once. He turned back to her as he heard the sound of the door click shut. “The pizza should be here any-” he heard a knock at the door, then raised his eye brows and shrugged. “I got it.” He walked towards the door and opened again, pulled his wallet from out of his back pocket. It was slightly wet from the water but it didn’t matter. He pulled out the amount of money they’d need for the two pizzas then took them in his huge arms. “Thanks.” He said to the pizza guy then turned back to her. “Ta da.” He said with a light smile and walked into the room again, placing the two large boxes of pizza on the small coffee table. He noticed how much he was smiling. It was rare for him to smile all the time. But he couldn’t help but smile when he was with Kristal. She made him happy.

So I guess I’ll come out of my hiding spot now and socialize with you people.

So uh, Aye. I’m Max, if you didn’t know.

He let out a loud laugh when she splashed him, the playful anger spreader across her face. “Splashing water at me? How rebellious!” He said with a huge grin then let her grab on to him as the huge wave came over them, him jumping a little so they could get over it, but it soaked them in water anyway. He laughed quietly to himself as the sun came over them. It relaxed him. He loved the feeling. He rarely got it now a days. Everything was so..rushed. Everything had to be done now, or this would happen, or that would happen. Like Max. Everything had to happen now and it had to be perfect. He didn’t even like that word. Perfect.

He let go of his tight grip on her and let them lightly float as the water calmed down. He looked over at her when she spoke. It was true. “Sure does. Like you have no care in the world what so ever. Like anything that happens it’ll always be okay.” He shrugged once, swooshing the water a little when he did. “Too bad reality has to be such a bitch.” He let out a soft laugh under his breath after he said that.

Kristal sighed contently and floated around, this natural high was better than a fake high, there were no consequences to face or anything like that. She looked at him and shook her head. “That’s so true, sometimes I wish I could just get away from this place for awhile you know? Like just get away.. it’s too much.” She said honestly. She looked up at the sky, the sun was almost set and it would get dark out soon. “I guess we should be getting back. Want to go back to my place? We can get pizza, if you want.” She said, as she started making her way back to the shore.

“Ditto.” He replied to her. They always had the same opinions when it came to this kind of stuff. He looked over at her and brought a small smile onto his face. “Yeahs sure, awesome. Let’s go.” He said as he pulled himself up from the cold salty water and walked up towards the shoreline. He curled his palms around his shorts a little on the side of his legs, squeezing them to get some of the water out. He grabbed his undershirt from off the towel and shook the sand off it, throwing it over his shoulder. “I’ll go ahead and order it right now.” He said as he pulled his slightly damaged phone from out of his pocket and dialed the number to the pizza place. “Yeah, two large pepperoni pizzas.” He said then told the address for where they should come drop it off. “Thanks.” He hung the phone up then looked over at Kristal, chuckling. “Hey, I like to eat.” He said with a smirk and picked up their towel.

He raised raised his eye brow and did a quick nod. “Yeah, I’m kind of hoping for it to go by. At least it’s my last year. After that all this stuff will be lifted off my shoulders..hopefully.” he did a small shrug and let one of his hands rest in the warm sand, curling it in…

He raised his eye brows at what she said, then smiled gently at her. He liked her attitude towards relationships. It wasn’t like all the other girls here. The whole My life is over, I won’t be able to live without him shit. That always annoyed him. Then again, he’d never fully understand girls. Ever. “Good. It’s a waste of time to let him do that. Plus, takes less of the stress off of your shoulder if you just let it all go.” He smiled gently at her. He always tried to make her feel better, wether it worked or not it was always worth a try.

He smirked at her when she suggested racing to the water. “It’s like you read my mind.” He did a small fake gasp when she tore off her cover and raced towards the shoreline. “Hey, I wasn’t ready!” He said between his small chuckles and pulled the undershirt over his head and tossing it towards her clothes on the towel.

He ran towards the shoreline, grabbing her at her waist before she could get fully into the water. “You’re racing a guy who’s played sports all his life. Bad idea there.” He winked at her playfully and picked her up, running into the water and letting it splash up his legs until he got to a waist water height. “Ready?!” He yelled to her over the waves, his laughs seeming to escape between his voice. He tossed her gently into the water, chucking afterwards. He let himself fall back into the water. The water soaking his whole body up. He lifted his head and rushed his large fingers through his hair when he did. He liked this, it was fun. Fun without the price of having a large hangover afterwards.

themaxkennedy:

“Oh, stop it.” he joked with her and chuckled after she said that hanging out with him was awesome. Kristal was one of the closest friends he had here. He had other close friends, she was just the one who got him the most. Didn’t pressure him and all that. He smirked and…

He raised raised his eye brow and did a quick nod. “Yeah, I’m kind of hoping for it to go by. At least it’s my last year. After that all this stuff will be lifted off my shoulders..hopefully.” he did a small shrug and let one of his hands rest in the warm sand, curling it in the palm of his hand a little and turning his head to Kristal when she answer his question of how she was. He made a face, instantly knowing that it was a lie. He knew her way too well to know that it was a lie.

He nodded again. “Yup. I know you’re lying, can’t trick me.” he smirked a little then went back to the stern face. He raised a brow when he heard her words. “Back up plan? Hell no. You don’t deserve to be the second choice.” He knew that Kristel always had problems when it came to Carter. He knew she didn’t deserve to have to worry about all that. That’s why he was there to help. “I knew the marriage wouldn’t last, anyways. He’s not stable enough for that. Marriage that is.”

He swallowed once and brought his gaze back up to the sky, it beginning to form a sunset. Relationships. One thing that rarely ran through Max’s mind. It was all so complicated. They ruined you once they were over, and could break you even more when you were in them. but yet they could be the best thing that has ever happened to you. “I don’t see how you can put up with that, actually. That stuff’s too complicated.”
